Editor’s notes: Sean Wotherspoon stans, rejoice! The Round Two co-founder is back with another creation alongside adidas, this time cropping up the popular Equipment Support 93.
If we were to compile a list of the best and/or most frequent sneaker collaborators in the game, it would be incomplete without giving Sean Wotherspoon his flowers. No matter when it entered your radar – for me it was the Nike Air Max 97/1 (shock) – there’s no denying its influence; at the very least, a lot of people are going crazy over his collaborations.
In recent history, we’ve seen a steady stream of releases alongside Three Stripes, which included wild single superstar “SUPEREARTH”, Superfurf Adventure team atmos, and Superturf Adventure SW.
For the duo’s latest ride, they turn to the ultra-popular early ’90s favorite in gear rack 93.
In true Wotherspoon style, this pair is unlike any iteration of the silhouette from the adidas archives – so much so that it could be a completely alternative style. The retro runner, given the SW makeover, showcases a love of the outdoors through a mixed mesh and CORDURA construction on a sturdy rubber sole.
A bedding of bright floral embroidery and customizable lace beads adds an extra layer of style to the already boldly colored shoe. Up front, you’ll find a healthy dose of yellow, blocking out purple, black, and red.
As is standard for the adidas and Sean Wotherspoon teams, the sneakers were made in part from recycled content generated from production waste.
