Mainstream International expands its brand portfolio

New York – Multi-category home textiles supplier Mainstream International is adding a beach vibe to its growing assortment.

The company has entered into an exclusive multi-year licensing agreement with Iconix Brand Group for the surf lifestyle brand Ocean Pacific. Category expansion paves the way for a comeback for the next 50 years of the OP brandand birthday in 2022.

Mainstream’s license will include beach chairs, umbrellas, canopies, beach blankets, outdoor cushions and hammocks. Known for its laid-back California style and grounded in the spirit of surf culture, the brand has re-emerged as a comprehensive lifestyle brand with its expansion into home, skateboard, fragrance and beach categories.

The Ocean Pacific brand fuses sports, music, art and fashion reflecting Southern California’s surf and skate culture using bold, iconic graphics for a wide audience.

“This opportunity will allow the brand to return to categories critical to its heritage and purpose,” said Bob Galvin, CEO and President of Iconix Brand Group.

Mainstream International will create, source and market the new collections, distributing the products through online and physical channels in the United States. The OP brand becomes the newest addition to its existing licensing marquee, which includes Clorox, Cannon, Mudd, Teflon, B. Smith and Mossimo.
